  3. On a serious note: the problem in the US is the "industrial food complex" that allows for CORN to be everywhere and for McDonald's to destroy lives.

Yes ^ that is a generic statement. But I can explain further.

  5. Good question. Of course, all of those factors play a role, but don't forget the school systems (I guess that can fall under government). Schools are seriously lacking in health education; I think it should be an integral part of what they learn. What can be more important than knowing how to take care of yourself? And lets not get started on what they feed the kids.

Oh, and its the parent's responsibility to pick up when the schools fail...

    Happy birthday!

  6. Nice and entertaining presentation, but that's a huge elephant in the room. I think it all starts with parenting choices, which eventually the kids mimic. Simply put, you are what you eat; period. so stop and think.

Hpy born day bruh, much blessings

@Ashley its crazy right where do we start? thanks hun!

@Amy its one of those which came first "the chicken or the egg?" situations if the parents have been misguided by the schools/govt how can they teach any better?

@Dayo everything starts at home. how do we reach parents? But yea we are what we eat, nice! Oh an you know I am still in love with you right? #imjussayin

Thanks for watching and commenting all. There is definitely more to come.

  8. Im not down with all of this blame the parents nonsense.

Our food system has been engineered to make the cheap calories the worst for us.

When you go into a grocery store and but a tomato, its not really a tomato, its sort of a notional tomato, the idea of a tomato. Picked halfway around the world when it was green and then ripened using ethylene gas. --- FOOD INC. (the movie)

My point? That unless we change not only change the system that creates our food, we the people, will stay fat. Its more than eating habits when there is sugar and corn and nonsense in your face all day.

Its more than personal responsibility when we the people foot the bill for the heart attacks mcds causes in the form of our health insurance bill and medicare and medicaid. That $1 burger -- heres a little secret:: it costs WAY more then a $1. Mcds can do it because of: 1) the corn lobby (buying corn for their beef below the cost of production),2) the beef lobby and BPI and 3) not having to pay for the consequences they cause (if even if inadvertent.
